NSPS organized an annual prize distribution and graduation ceremony of the senior wing.

In a spectacular display of talent, colour and spirit  Nankana Sahib Public School Gill Park organized its Annual Prize distribution and graduation ceremony of senior students at the auditorium of Guru Nanak Dev Engineering College today.

The function commenced with recitation of shabad by the School choir. Dr Charanjit Singh Aulakh Dean, College of Agriculture PAU was the chief guest. He was accorded floral welcome by the School Student Council. 

Showcasing the achievements of the school a PowerPoint Presentation was presented which won accolades from one and all. Er. Jagdev Singh Hans Chief Engineer PSPCl was the guest of honour. 

Sardar Inderpal Singh Chadha Director Nankana Sahib Education Trust also marked the occasion.The dignitaries lit the ceremonial lamp.

Addressing the gathering Er. Jagdev Singh Hans said,"This school has blessings of Guru Nanak Dev Ji.  I expect that many athletes from your school will compete at International level like P.T. Usha and Milkha Singh. I and my son , we are both alumni of GNDEC . I have only one son and I never pampered him."

The soothing melodious song "Swagtam " accorded everyone a convivial welcome .

Welcoming the chief guest Mrs Harmeet Kaur Waraich, city coordinator of CBSE and Principal of the school said,"Our school was established in 1978 and presently among the top five schools of the city." Highlighting the achievements of students in academics and other co-curricular activities she read the annual report of the school.

 She appealed to parents not to overprotect their childern and let them learn the struggle of life. She said "Children copy parents and teachers.  Never criticise your child's teacher in front of your ward. Spend quality time with children. "

Appreciating the performance of students Dr Charanjit Singh Aulakh said,"I felt young while watching the programme of students. I congratulate parents and teachers for the splendid success of children. The parents should try to make their children better human beings. Success will definitely come to your kids. "

He exhorted the parents to let the children explore their own world, tell them how to face challenges of life with patience and help them to communicate in social circles. He said,"Train your children to have dastar,  raftar and guftar for their whole life."

 Students promoted from LKG to first and fifth to sixth in the year 2023-2024 were honoured with certificates. The students who got positions in class X and XII in the last two academic years were also honoured with trophies and certificates.

The students wearing graduation robes and Mortarboards wore broad smiles, looked excited and vibrant. The gala event was attended by parents who were as excited as their wards, to see their little ones dressed up in convocation gowns receiving certificates.

 The ceremony was filled with quite a buzz of energy built up by a scintillating performance of young students who welcomed all with welcome song and dance. The spell bound performance of

Act on vocational skills, folk song,   religious song, Act on drug- addiction, choreography- Das Avtar, based on ten incarnations of Lord Krishna kept everyone glued to their seats. Kavishri on Kahani Punjab won thunderous applause by one and all. On this occasion a documentary film made by Nankanians, the Harvest of Hope - based on the theme of organic farming was also shown to parents. 

The function concluded with foot tapping bhangra.The vote of thanks was given by Sardar Inderpal Singh Chadha Director Nankana Sahib Education Trust.
