Vaisakhi Celebration - 14-04-2017

The tiny tots of the Kindergarten section of Nankana Sahib Public School, Gill Road celebrated the festival of Vaisakhi with fervour. Clad in colourful Punjabi outfits, the little children performed different cultural items. All the little students danced on the tunes of famous Punjabi numbers and performed foot tapping bhangra and giddha.

Earlier they were addressed by Mrs. Jasmeen Kaur Headmistress of Primary Wing. She told them importance of this festival.

Mrs Harmeet Kaur Waraich the school principal appreciated the efforts of budding artists of the school. She told the students that this day is not only known as Harvest festival but also as an auspicious day as the Tenth Guru, Guru Gobind Singh Ji established "Khalsa Panth " on this day. The day is commemorated in the sikh history as the birth of �Khalsa.
