Origin & History

Nankana Sahib Public School was started with a mission to provide best education to the rural belt surrounding Ludhiana in 1978 in the Campus of Guru Nanak Dev Engineering College by Nankana Sahib Education Trust with the purpose of providing education on Public School pattern to rural children so that they can compete successfully with urban children for entry into professional colleges & Public Services. Children of defence personnels, Central Government employees and other persons holding transferable jobs are admitted on priority basis.
The school has been well received from the very beginning and within a few years has earned a reputation comparable with that of the best Public Schools of the city. It is no longer in the GNDEC Campus. It has its own huge campus sprawling over 15 acres of land adjoining GNDEC.
